In 1995 Lottie learned to square dance and thought it was the best thing she had ever got involved in. In May of 2000 she took a dare and tried calling a tip with one of the local callers. One week later she was filling in for that same caller at his club, one month later she attended her first caller's schools with Tony Oxendine, Jon Jones and Jerry Story. She relied upon a beautiful singing voice to entertain, but delivered dance commands with such clarity that she soon became known locally as well as Nationally. Lottie has moved very quickly accomplishing almost every goal she has set for herself. In the short / fast 11 years she has called in 30 states. Also in Canada and in the Mexico shores. She has called at 11 National square dance Conventions and is registered for Spokane, Oklahoma, and Little Rock.

She currently records on two record labels (Hi-Hat, and Dance Ranch). Some of her recording include: Strong Enough, You are My Sunshine, Coal Miners Daughter, Dance,.. Blame it on the Bossa Nova, Sugar, Tears in Heaven, Tennessee River, Blue Clear Sky, and If Heaven. She is a guest on Gramophone Productions recording "Life". She has recorded two CD's.

With the help of Alitia and John Becker, USDA National Youth Directors, Lottie produced and distributed a "teach" video (which was mass produced) and distributed by the USDA though out the United States.

Lottie hosted and called for the annual square and round dance weekend "Lottie's Louisiana Hoedown", which also featured the Ghost Riders Band, and other national and international callers and professional cuers.

Lottie is Co-caller for the Ouachita Squares, Caney Lake Swingers and River City Promenaders in her local town. She enjoys teaching and calling for new dancers and promoting them along the way. She travels all 12 months of the year. She calls Mainstream, Plus and Advanced levels. She is a member of CALLERLAB and Texas State Caller Associations.

Lottie's immediate and on-going goal is to promote square dancing as a wholesome family activity and to provide square dancing FUN for all ages. Look her up when she is in your area and she promises you'll have a great time..
