In 1995 Lottie learned to square
dance and thought it was the best thing she had ever got
involved in. In May of 2000 she took a dare and tried
calling a tip with one of the local callers. One week later
she was filling in for that same caller at his club, one
month later she attended her first caller's schools with
Tony Oxendine, Jon Jones and Jerry Story. She relied upon a
beautiful singing voice to entertain, but delivered dance
commands with such clarity that she soon became known
locally as well as Nationally. Lottie has moved very quickly
accomplishing almost every goal she has set for herself. In
the short / fast 11 years she has called in 30 states. Also
in Canada and in the Mexico shores. She has called at 11
National square dance Conventions and is registered for
Spokane, Oklahoma, and Little Rock.
She currently records on two record
labels (Hi-Hat, and Dance Ranch). Some of her recording
include: Strong Enough, You are My Sunshine, Coal Miners
Daughter, Dance,.. Blame it on the Bossa Nova, Sugar, Tears
in Heaven, Tennessee River, Blue Clear Sky, and If Heaven.
She is a guest on Gramophone Productions recording "Life".
